The origins of Watt Companies began in 1947 when Ray Watt started building homes for World War II veterans in Southern California. In time, the organization grew through the successful completion of numerous large scale residential housing projects, high-rise office buildings, hotels, industrial parks and drug/grocery-anchored shopping centers. Today, the company owns and manages a portfolio of over six million square feet of commercial real estate.

In addition to its direct investments, Watt Companies has had a track record of success through its sponsorship of numerous real estate ventures and operating platforms. Most recently, Watt Companies exited its investment in John Laing Homes through a sale in 2006 and its partnership with Centro Properties Group US through a sale in 2007. Watt Companies established Watt Investment Partners as a wholly owned subsidiary to serve as the institutional investment vehicle for the company.

Watt Investment Partners was formed to leverage off of the Watt Companies' permanent capital base and expertise of its large in-house support organization. Tasked with finding creative and opportunistic real estate investments, Watt Investment Partners brings together a team of experienced professionals focused on deploying capital across the spectrum of real estate opportunities, including property-level equity, debt and special situations transactions and businesses with real estate holdings that can benefit from Watt's operational expertise. Watt Investment Partners has the ability to provide flexible capital to respond to transaction-specific needs, including the outright purchase or financing of existing assets or companies and the funding of future development or acquisition opportunities.

Combining strong liquidity, disciplined investing, a high level of integrity and broad industry expertise, Watt Investment Partners is well equipped to capitalize on the dynamic economic climate and generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for both its permanent capital and investor partners.
